Mike Giannini has emerged as one of the outstanding DJ talents in the United States.  Truly a rising star, Giannini’s sound reflects elements of house, electro, and tribal.  For over a decade, he has proven himself to be a well-respected member of the of the dance music community and a DJ who brings unique enthusiasm to his performances.

On any given weekend, Mike can be found spinning at San Francisco’s top night clubs or touring the world.  His bookings have taken him as far as Moscow, Miami, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.  He regularly performs with top international DJs such as Paul Oakenfold, Derrick Carter, Felix da Housecat and Chus & Ceballos.  Mike packs his sets with a good dose of emotion, consistently delivering solid programming and smooth mixing.  His sound is chunky, funky and soulful, with a percussive, tech-oriented edge; always uplifting and energetic, with solid kicks and dirty bass lines.

Mike has held residencies at several venues in San Francisco, including Ruby Skye, Ten15, and Temple, and is well known for his “Dark & Dirty” parties at Supperclub.  For several years, Mike was a resident DJ on Thump Radio, the definitive source of live house mixes online, on the air and via satellite on XM80 ‘The Move’.  Since 2005, Mike has played for the 100,000+ revelers that gather each year in San Francisco for the annual LoveFest.  His sets at the Deep End and Opulent Temple camps at the legendary Burning Man Festival in the high desert of Nevada prove that his diverse style and experience can rock the masses.

“Playing at Burning Man to 3,000 people was mind-blowing.  Everyone was wearing something different—Wigs, body paint, stilts, spacesuits, you name it… But they were all grooving for hours.  Even through mad dust storms, they just kept on groovin’… It was wild…”

Mike’s production career began with two successful releases:  “Far West” on Swiss record label Helvetica Recordingz and “Music Rhythm” on New York-based Knob Records.  Along with San Francisco-based High Spies, Mike has been busy in the studio producing music for Solmatic Records, owned by house icon Richard Vission.  These releases have elevated his status as not only a popular DJ, but also as a talented producer.
